Here we highlight the states with the most and least overall credit card debt as well as the states with the highest and lowest credit card debt per person.
You’ll see that:
California has the highest total credit card debt, but Alaska has the highest amount of credit card debt per person.
Alaska is one of the states with the least total credit card debt.
New Jersey, Virginia, Texas, Georgia, and New York are the states with the highest total credit card debt and most credit card debt per person.
Vermont is the state with the least total credit card debt, but Iowa has the lowest amount of credit card debt per person.
South Dakota and North Dakota have the least total credit card debt and lowest credit card debt per person.
